Clinical Research Team Wins President’s Choice Award
We are very proud to announce that our Clinical Research Team received a President’s Choice Award at The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine 2021 Annual Pain Medicine Meeting for their scientific abstract!
The abstract provided a summary of an extensive research project our team is involved with titled Characterization Of Non-Surgical Back Pain Within The Differential Target Multiplexed SCS Randomized Controlled Study.
The project, sponsored by Medtronic, seeks to explore stimulation patterns and the effect on pain relief.
This study was a 16 subject cohort which showed stable SCS patients who were re-programmed to Differential Target Multiplexed Spinal Cord Stimulation (DTM-SCS) to achieve a similar degree of pain relief and maintain therapy satisfaction at three months. It also helped reduce their device charge burden. This cohort is a part of the larger SCS research study, with an estimated enrollment of 360 subjects.
Among the expert medical professionals who contributed to the project were our own Dr. Andrew Will, Karen Trutnau, CNP, David Kulberg, RN, and Megan Rieb, RN.
Congrats team on your well-deserved recognition! We are privileged to have such talented professionals on our team who are dedicated to advancing chronic pain treatment technology and improving patient outcomes.
