TWIN CITIES PAIN CLINIC & SURGERY CENTER HOST FIRST ANNUAL PAIN AWARENESS 5K

To celebrate September as Pain Awareness Month, Twin Cities Pain Clinic and Surgery Center held their first annual Pain Awareness 5k. Staff members, along with their family and friends, laced up their running shoes for a fun run/walk to help the cause of raising pain awareness! Proceeds were donated to the American Chronic Pain Association.

“The purpose of this event is to bring people together to raise awareness on a subject that is easily overlooked in the healthcare industry, pain!” says Lish Thrall, Administrative Coordinator and main chairman of the events committee. “Pain management is such an important subject when we are looking at improving quality of life. It is our goal to educate and empower our patients, as well as their families, to take control of their pain – it’s truly life changing!”

The race started and finished in the parking lot of the Twin Cities Pain Clinic’s main campus in Edina. After the race, participants were invited to tour the clinic’s facilities. Representatives from leading medical device companies such as Medtronic, Nevro, Boston Scientific, and Abbott were available to share the latest ground-breaking technology in pain therapies.
